The Porsche 917 is the car that finally won Le Mans outright for Porsche, taking overall victories in 1970 and 1971 with its air-cooled flat-12. Built to the FIA's five-litre sports-car rules, it later spawned the turbocharged 917/10 and 917/30 that crushed the Can-Am series. Only a handful of chassis were ever built, and as one of the most iconic racing cars in history the 917 changes hands only rarely and at the very top of the market.
