1948–1965

The Porsche 356 was the company's first production car, a lightweight rear-engine sports car built from 1948 to 1965 in coupe, cabriolet, and Speedster forms. Evolving through the Pre-A, A, B, and C series and powered by an air-cooled flat-four, it established the rear-engine template that defined Porsche. Well-restored 356s — especially the Carrera and Speedster variants — are firmly established blue-chip classics.
